TF2

TF2 was the next step to breaking the records. It was much more sophisticated than TF20 since everything was done from scratch and it used a lot of carbon fiber. It used the biplane rig for the first time and all the parts were nicely streamlined. We started building in the late summer of 1989.

First launch and first flight.

In November of 1989 Dan and I took it to Lake Buchanan TX where we hoped to set some records, but we had terrible luck. We came very close, but we spent most of the time fixing the boat after some major failures. I suspect we rushed ourselves a little too much to get to the race.

Eventually we got this boat working good and it was a great boat. We shot some great photos and videos.
